Uday Pratap Singh is currently one of the most talked-about faces on Bengali television. His character Rayan in the popular series Parineeta has won over audiences across the board. On the other hand, his wife, actress Anamika Chakraborty, has been away from daily soaps for quite some time. Naturally, their contrasting professional phases have fuelled speculation among fans, with a section of viewers raising questions about the couple’s personal life.
The rumours intensified when Anamika recently deleted all her photos with husband Uday from her social media profiles. This move instantly triggered gossip—was Anamika unhappy with Uday’s growing success?
Addressing the buzz, Uday told the media,
“People who are even slightly known in society have to deal with all sorts of assumptions. We are not separating. These discussions do not affect us in the slightest.”
Anamika echoed a similar sentiment. She made it clear that she has no intention of responding to unnecessary speculation.
“My social media page is strictly for work. I have no desire to showcase my personal life there. And even if something has happened, I’m not answerable to anyone outside. It is entirely my personal matter. People today write whatever they feel like. I do not owe anyone an explanation.”
Uday, meanwhile, remains unfazed by the chatter. According to him, every actor faces such situations at some point in their career, and stressing over them is nothing but a waste of time.
