In the clip, actress Srabanti Chatterjee is seen getting aggressive—slapping and punching a young man, without paying any attention to the camera or the people around her. This left many wondering: what really happened that made her react this way?
Srabanti recently opened up about the incident in front of the media. She said it happened two months ago during the winter, when she had gone to Assam for a show. According to her, the event was poorly organized. It was already late at night, and though security guards were present, she didn’t feel properly protected.
Suddenly, while she was in the crowd, someone reached out from behind and tried to touch her inappropriately—his hand came dangerously close to her chest. Shocked and angered, Srabanti acted on instinct and immediately slapped and punched the man to defend herself.
She explained, “What else could I do? Yes, I’m a star—but that’s my secondary identity. First and foremost, I’m a woman.”
