At Camongo, our collective mood right now is that of musing as we keep thinking over again and again how October’25 went past in a flash. Some are basking in the happy memories made with the significant other over Durga Puja and Kali Puja and going around with a slightly dazed look and besotted smile on the face.
But the festivities seem over for sure – at least for now – and it’s time to get back to work and make the best use of the weeks that remain till curtains come down on 2025.
Now, it’s time to give you the deets of the new film releases from Tollywood in October 2025. Read on for yourself.
Sharthopor – There is no bond like a sibling bond. Maybe it comes from the incredible realization that you share the same family history, genetic makeup (up to 50% common genes in biological siblings – can you beat this?) and unlimited personal memories through childhood experiences and family links. And yet, life sometimes throws up those sad phrases at times when siblings seriously fall out with each another. As adults, they may end up in prolonged legal battles over inheritance. They may even go as far as cutting off ties and refusing to meet one another ever again. It is never easy though. In fact, when siblings truly care for one another, it is heart-breaking to fight a loved one from your own mother’s womb and born of your parents’ flesh and blood. Aparna (Koel Mallick) and Saurav (Kaushik Sen) shared a beautiful childhood as siblings and as adults, this brother-sister duo finds itself embroiled in a family feud. Lawyers, legal documents, and court visits come with the court case they’re fighting as adversaries. The ordeal keeps shattering them internally. How will they overcome this tough test of their deep affection for each other when they are fighting a legal battle that demands a winner and a loser? Directed by Annapurna Basu and written by Sadeep Bhattacharjee, Sharthopor is produced by Surinder Films and stars Koel Mallick, Kaushik Sen, Ranjit Mallick, Anirban Chakrabarti and Indrajit Chakravarty in lead roles. The music is by Jeet Gannguli.

Porii Monii – There’s little Pori and she’s just back from her vacation. But she is not alone. There’s a new friend in tow. With her arrival, confusing things start happening in the family that soon escalate into a chilling atmosphere. In this film of confusion, mystery, and horror, there are questions that beg for answers, secrets from the past that need clarity, shadows that carry dark emotions. Directed by Souvik Dey and Siddarta Chakraborty, Porii Monii has Tanusree (Tnusree) Chakraborty, Rajatava Dutta, Debraj Bhattacharjee, Pragya Goswami (child actor), and Antaripa Ghosh as lead crew. The music is by Soumya Rit and Cinematography by Arnav Guha. The horror film is produced by Siddarta Chakraborty Production.

Shree Durga – Meet Durga, an ordinary housewife who lives in a large ancestral house. She has one choice before the situation spins out of control: fight. Taking matters into her own hands, this ordinary housewife transforms into a warrior, fighting with all her maternal instinct and primal womanly passion for the welfare of her family.
