Last month, a glimpse of Shiladitya-Som’s item song Phirni Malai was released, revealing the strong on-screen chemistry between Yash and Indrakhi Dey. This music video has been launched with the support of legendary actor Chiranjit Chakraborty.
Chiranjit praised Phirni Malai, saying, “There should be more work like this. Shiladitya and Som have done a great job.” The actor, who has also performed in several item songs during his career, shared his thoughts on the genre.
According to him, every item song should have a story that gives it meaning. He added, “We often talk about obscenity and criticize short clothes. But item songs should be used in films to draw the audience’s attention in a creative way.”
